Title
Study after Camille Claudel La Petite Sirene
Artist
Kerrie B Wrye
Medium
Drawing - Graphite On Paper Board
Description
Camille Claudel's work is visual lyrical poetry. She was one with the clay from early childhood. A female and artist whose oeuvre deserves its own attention.
The biography, written to date that comes closest to accomplishing this, is by: Angelo Caranfa, in his title, "An Artist of Interior Solitude."
My drawing is a result of studying her statue of "the Flute Player" during the time I was reading this book.
(Annoyingly, the accent in the original name of the work is missing, because the web programmer did not program for this language feature.)
